Extending the Growing Season with Fall and Winter Hardy Gardening

at the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, Western Tidewater Branch, 618 South Street, Franklin, VA 23851.
FREE kitchen garden class series open to all, led by Suffolk Extension Master Gardeners.
You'll learn the basics of growing vegetables, fruits, and herbs using cost-effective, sustainable techniques and may go home with door prizes, seeds, and the information you need to grow your own produce.
This series helps empower and support families in growing their own food to increase their food security, improve their nutrition, and build a more sustainable future. Classes are open to all levels of gardeners and are held in space generously provided by the foodbank.
Classes are free. Seats and supplies are limited, so please register at at bit.ly/kitchen-garden-class so we know how many supplies to bring. Registration for each date opens after the previous class and closes the Sunday before class.
